Risk Taking – as a lifestyle, as a way to get ahead.

Playing safe is probably the most unsafe thing in the world. You cannot stand still. You must go forward.

Risk. This morning I was asked what my biggest mistake was and what I learned from it. My biggest mistake was not trusting my gut. When I’ve let my fear of being wrong get in the way of what I know is right for me.

Each time I take a risk it pays off for me. Even if the payoff isn’t exactly what I wanted. Like Mick says, “You can’t always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need.” Read the rest of this entry »

I’m thinking about the other times in my life that I’ve bugged out for the dug out. There was college, then New York, then Cleveland. Each time I feel the effects of gravity a little more. It gets harder to pull yourself out of orbit. You seem to weigh a little more, be a little more dense each time. Read the rest of this entry »
